Best Time to Visit Bali for Your Honeymoon (2026 Season Guide)
A season-by-season guide to when to visit Bali for a honeymoon - weather, crowd levels, pricing, and which months suit beach time vs. temple-hopping.
Bali does not really have a bad time to visit. It is a year-round tropical destination, but the season you pick changes the trip in ways worth knowing before you book, especially for a honeymoon where you want the details right.
Dry season: April to October
This is Bali's most reliable stretch of weather: lower rainfall, warm days, and conditions that make beach time, rice-terrace photography, and outdoor temple visits easier to plan.
If your honeymoon plans lean toward private villa pool days, sunset dinners, and beach clubs, this window gives you the most consistent weather to build a schedule around.
The trade-off: July and August are peak season, which means higher hotel rates and more crowded honeymoon-favourite spots like Ubud and Seminyak. For dry-season weather without the peak-season crush, April-June or September-October are the sweet spot.
Wet season: November to March
Rain does not mean the trip is ruined. Showers in Bali tend to be short, heavy bursts rather than all-day washouts, and temperatures stay warm throughout.
This season works well if you are prioritising spa days, indoor cultural experiences, and lower hotel rates over guaranteed beach weather. It is also noticeably quieter, which some honeymooners actually prefer.
Matching the season to your honeymoon style
- Beach-and-villa focused: April-June or September-October for dry weather, fewer crowds than July/August and better rates than peak season
- Budget-conscious: November-March, avoiding the Christmas-New Year spike specifically
- Do not mind crowds, want reliable sun: July-August, with accommodation booked well in advance
- Culture and spa-first itinerary: Wet season works fine because temples and spas are not weather-dependent the way beach days are
What to build into the itinerary regardless of season
A few things are worth including whichever month you land in: a private villa stay, at least one sunset dinner reservation booked ahead, and a temple visit.
Ubud is best for jungle and rice terraces, while Seminyak or Uluwatu work better for beach access. Tanah Lot and Ulun Danu Batur are among the most photographed temple stops for good reason. Dress modestly for temple visits regardless of how warm it is.
Planning around the season
Once you have picked your window, the logistics become easier to lock down: villa selection, transfers, which temples to prioritise, and whether to add an extra island.
Our Bali Honeymoon & Villas package is a 6-night, 7-day itinerary built around private villa stays, temple visits and beach experiences. Every date and inclusion can be adjusted to whichever season you are travelling in.
